Negotiation
At Parry Coates Family Law, we are dedicated to assisting you reach an agreement, where possible, without the need for Court intervention.
When you engage our lawyers to assist you, we can negotiate with your former partner or their legal representative on your behalf from start to finish. This means that you will not need to negotiate either your property or children’s matter with your former partner directly if you do not want to.
Negotiations that we often engage in to resolve your matter can be in the form of:
- Emails and letters being exchanged;
- Phone calls between each of your lawyers;
- Private mediation. We often engage another expert family law or barrister to act as the mediator;
- Family Dispute Resolution;
- Roundtable conference.
These are the most common ways in which our family lawyers negotiate on your behalf. These negotiations can include exchanging of background information, disclosure and offers of settlement.
If agreement can not be reached, our family lawyers will discuss with you alternatives to progress your matter.
